MSA insurance decoder

Paste the insurance section of an operator's master service agreement. The decoder pulls out every limit, endorsement and indemnity term it recognizes, explains what your policy needs for each, and flags where certificates usually get rejected. Free, and nothing leaves your browser.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent anywhere unless you choose to send it to a specialist below.

What the decoder looks for

Twenty-one requirements that show up again and again in oil and gas MSAs: general liability, auto, workers' comp and umbrella limits; additional insured, completed operations, primary and non-contributory, waiver of subrogation and notice of cancellation; indemnity, knock-for-knock and Texas Chapter 127; pollution, underground resources, care custody and control, MCS-90 and professional liability; and the paperwork terms on ratings, deductibles, certificates and subcontractors.

It matches wording, so it can miss a requirement written in an unusual way, and it cannot tell you whether your current policies meet it. For that, talk to a specialist or read the line-by-line guide to MSA insurance requirements.
